Latino and immigrant leaders founded MCCI in 2008 to bridge the capital access gap in low-to-moderate-income and under-resourced communities. We are headquartered in Lawrence, MA, and have historically served key Merrimack Valley cities. MCCI maintains a deep commitment to the Merrimack Valley while expanding services statewide and neighboring states. 

 

MCCI is a community development financial institution (CDFI). CDFIs are private-sector financial organizations with community development as their primary goal. CDFIs are different from conventional financial institutions because we have in-depth knowledge of the communities we serve. And we work closely with our customers and community leaders to develop innovative ways to deliver loans, investments, and financial services. 

 

Today, MCCI is the first Black-led CDFI in Massachusetts and comprises staff members that reflect the businesses and homeowners we serve.
